Addiction Awareness and Prevention Training” Held at the School of Foreign Languages


The School of Foreign Languages hosted an “Addiction Awareness and Prevention Training” aimed at raising awareness and supporting students in developing healthy life choices. The program, held in the school’s classrooms and lecture halls, was attended by Dr. Kürşat Arslan, Vice Director of the School of Foreign Languages, Ersin Susoy, Psychologist from Karabük Provincial Health Directorate, along with many students.



During the training, the focus was placed on protecting young people from harmful habits, understanding the individual and social dimensions of addiction, and exploring strategies for prevention. Participants were informed about the physical, psychological, and social impacts of addiction, while the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle was strongly emphasized. In addition, students were introduced to support resources and counseling services they can access in case of need.



The program also highlighted the significance of fostering self-awareness and acting with a sense of social responsibility in the fight against addiction. The event, which concluded with a Q&A session addressing students’ questions, contributed greatly to enhancing sensitivity and awareness on the issue.
