SCHOOL OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES

Dr. POLAT earned dual BA degrees in English Language Teaching (2010) and International Relations (2019) from Anadolu University. He completed his PhD in Curriculum and Instruction (2019) at the same university and has been a faculty member at Karabük University School of Foreign Languages since 2012. Dr. POLAT’s primary research areas include curriculum development, foreign language teaching, and higher education internationalization. He has authored numerous papers for international congresses, European Union and TÜBİTAK projects, as well as international articles and book chapters

Hüseyin ATASEVEN graduated from Ankara Gazi University English Language Teaching Department in 2011. He has been working as a lecturer at Karabük University School of Foreign Languages since 2012. Completing his master’s degree in Measurement and Evaluation in Education at Ankara University, he is continuing on his doctoral degree in Measurement and Evaluation in Education at Ankara University.

Şakir AŞÇI graduated from Ankara Middle East Technical University English Language Teaching Department in 2012. He has been working as a lecturer at Karabük University School of Foreign Languages since 2013. He completed his master’s degree in Cognitive Science at Ankara Middle East Technical University.

AhmetTopbaş, who has been working as a lecturer at Karabük University since 2008, did a degree in Foreign Languages Education at Middle East Technical Üniversity and he is preparing his MA dissertation in International Political Economy.

Akile Başar received her BA degree in English Language and Literature at Hacettepe University in 1992 and her MA degree in 1996. Akile Başar worked as a lecturer at Hacettepe University between1992-1997 and at Bülent Ecevit University between 1997- 2007. From 2007 to 2009 she worked as the prep Koordinator at Karabük University. From 2009 to 2011 she worked as the Vice manager of SFL. From 2014 onwards she has been working as the head of Department of Foreign Languages at Karabük University.

Arzu AYDIN, who has been working as lecturer in Karabük University SFL since 2011, is preparing his MA dissertation at Hacettepe University Curriculum and Instruction department now.

Asli Ozturk, who has been working as lecturer in Karabuk University SFL since 2012, studied American Culture and Literature in Dokuz Eylul University.

Ayça GÜLÜNAY, who has been working as a lecturer at Karabük University SFL since 2010, is preparing his M. A. dissertation at Karabük University, The Department of Sociology now.

Aykut Dalak, who has been working as a lecturer in Karabük University SFL since 2013, is preparing PHD dissertation in Ankara University General Turkish History now.

Ayşe Hilal TANIŞ has been lecturer at Karabük University SFL since 2010. She has graduated MA programme at Karabuk Üniversity.

Ayşe ORDU, who has been working as a lecturer at Karabük University SFL since 2013, is preparing his M. A. dissertation at Ankara University, The Department of Curriculum and Instruction now.

Ayşe TURAN, who has been working as lecturer in Karabük University SFL since 2010, has got her MA degree from Ufuk University English Language Teaching department.

Büşra ŞANLI, who has been working as a lecturer in Karabük University SFL since 2013, completed her MA in Düzce University Curriculum and Instruction department in 2016.

Doğan Can Akçin, who was born in 1991, holds a BA in English Language Teaching from Yıldız Technical University. He has been working as lecturer in Karabük University SFL since January 2014. He started his MA in TESOL (Teaching of English to the Speakers of Other Languages) at University College London in 2017 and submitted his thesis on the impact of implicit and explicit instructions on the acquisition and production of the English passive. He is expected to complete his MA in October 2018.

Duygu YAZICI, who has been working as lecturer at Karabük University School of Foreign Languages since 2013, graduated from Middle East Technical University Foreign Languages Education department. Right now, she is preparing her MSc dissertation at Middle East Technical University Cognitive Sciences department.

Enes TAŞDELEN, who has been working as a lecturer in Karabük University SFL since 2011, was born in 1986 and graduated from Ankara University English Language and Literature Department.

Born in Karabük in 1985, Erkan Uzak finished Atatürk University Faculty of Letters Department of English Language and Literature in 2007. Same year, he started to work there. After working for five years as a lecturer, he came to Karabük University in 2012. Since then, he has been teaching at School of Foreign Languages and Department of English Language and Literture.

Esra ŞAFAK ÇOKPARTAL, who has been working as lecturer in Karabük University SFL since 2013, is preparing her MA dissertation in Abant İzzet Baysal University Sports Management department now.

Fatma YILDIRIM graduated from the Department of English Language Teaching in the Faculty of Education at Selçuk University. She earned her MA degree in English Language Teaching in the Department of Foreign Language Teaching at Konya Necmettin Erbakan University. She works as a lecturer in Karabük University SFL.

Graduated from Istanbul University in 2010. She has a master's degree in the same field. She has been working as a lecturer at Karabuk University since 2013

Ferhat ORDU, who has been working as a lecturer at Karabük University SFL since 2013, finished his Master’s Degree at Karabük University, The Department of English Language and Literature.

Fırat Lüleci, who has been working as lecturer in Karabük University SFL since 2008, is preparing his MA dissertation in Gazi University Physical Education Teaching and Karabuk University International Relations departments now.

He graduated from Atatürk University, Faculty of Letters, Department of English Language and Literature in 2011. He continues his postgraduate education in the field of International Political Economy in the Department of International Relations.

Hatice Gür received her B.A in English Language Teaching from İstanbul University and M.A. in English Language and Literature from Karabük University.

İlyas ÇETİN, who graduated from English Language Teaching Department Gazi University in 2008, has been working as an English lecturer at Karabük University since 2008. He is doing his MA dissertation in the department of Curriculum and Instruction at Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University. Besides, He is studying on his CELTA training in the field of English Language Teaching at the moment.

Kenan SAPLIOĞLU having been graduated from English Language and Literature in 2010 is prepering his Master Degree in International Political Economy now. Moreover, he still has been working as a lecturer in Karabuk University SFL.

Kerim Tanış, who has been working as a Lecturer in Karabük University SFL since 2010, is preparing his MA dissertation in Karabük University International Relations department now.

Kubra Yapici, who has been working as lecturer in Karabuk University SFL since 2014, is preparing her MA dissertation in Karabuk University English Language and Literature department now.

Kübra Yavuz, who has been working as a lecturer in Karabük University SFL since 2015, is studying Art History as an undergraduate for the time being.

Lokman SEHITOGLU who graduated from Selcuk University ELL department, in 2009, has been working as a lecturer in Karabuk University SFL since 2011.

Meryem Çolak, born in Erzincan in 1989, graduated from Hacettepe University English Language Teaching Department in 2011. She has been working at Karabük University School of Foreign Languages sin 2011. She completed MA dissertation at Hacettepe University Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language program in 2018.

Nazan CANBULAT graduated from Ankara Gazi University English Language Teaching Department in 2008. She has been working as a lecturer at Karabük University School of Foreign Languages since 2011. Completing her master’s degree in Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language at Hacettepe University, she is continuing on her doctoral degree Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language at Hacettepe University.

Nihal TOPCU, who has been working as lecturer at Karabük University SFL since 2011, completed MA at Karabük University English Language and Literature department.

Okan Canbulat graduated from Hacettepe University English Language Teaching Department in 2006. He has been working as a lecturer at Karabük University School of Foreign Languages since 2012. Completing his master’s degree in Sociology at Karabük University, he is continuing on his doctoral degree in Sociology of Religion at Ankara University.

Born in 1988, Okan DEDE graduated from the Department of English Language Teaching at Akdeniz University in 2011. He graduated from Hacettepe University in 2017 with a Master's degree in Division of Curriculum and Instruction , and continues his PhD education at Ankara University Division of Curriculum and Instruction.

Pelin ANGIN, who has been working as lecturer in Karabük University SFL since 2010, completed her BA at Dumlupınar University, English Language and Literarure in 2010 and her MA at Tekirdag Namık Kemal University, English Language and Literarure in 2019.

Sadık Selman Üner, who has been working as lecturer in Karabük University SFL since 2013, is preparing his PhD dissertation in Yildiz Technical University Curriculum and Instruction department now.

Saycan Bora Erdoğan,who graduated from 19 Mayıs University English Languge Teaching department in 2011, has been working as a lecturer at Karabuk University since 2014. He completed his master’s in 2015.

Selma ParlakayTopbaş, who has been working as a lecturer at Karabük University since 2009, did a degree in English Language and Litereture at Hacettepe University and she is preparing his MA dissertation in International Political Economy.

Ümmet AYDAN, who has been working as a lecturer in Karabük University, SFL since 2008, is preparing his PhD dissertation in Karabuk University, Business Administration Department now.

Volkan Aydın, who has been working as lecturer in Karabük University SFL since 2010, is preparing his MA dissertation in Karabuk University International Political Economy department now.

Born in 1984, Ozgur finished his BA in American Studies at Dokuz Eylul University in Izmir. Then he worked as a bellboy, and as a receptionist before working at universities; after some experience at private institutions, he began working at Karabuk University in 2015. He got CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) in 2016 and has begun DELTA (Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) in 2018.

Gözde Begüm MIZRAK, who has been working as a lecturer at Karabük University SFL since 2014, is preparing her PhD dissertation at Karabük University in the department of English Language and Literature now.

Tugba sisman, who has been working as lecturer in karabuk university sfl since 2010, is getting her celta training and is b2 level coordinator.

Esin Uysal Gül, who has been working as a lecturer at Karabük University SFL since 2010, graduated from Hacettepe University English Language Teaching department, and she has completed her M.A. at Ufuk University in English Language Teaching in 2014.

In 2018, he completed his BA at the Department of English Language and Literature of Karabuk University. He received his Master's degree in Western Languages and Literatures (English Language and Literature) from Karabuk University. He is currently doing PhD in the Department of English Language and Literature at Ataturk University in Erzurum.

Tuğba AKBAŞ,who graduated from Hacettepe University English Language Teaching department in 2008, has been working at Karabük University since 2008. She completed her master's degree program in 2017 at Abant İzzet Baysal University English Language Teaching department.

Ümit CEBECİ holds his B.A. degree in English Language and Literature with a certificate of ELT Pedagogical Formation Program, his M.A. degree in Applied Linguistics, and follows his Ph.D. degree in Computer Education and Instructional Technologies. He has several distinguished language teaching certificates including TESOL. He has taken part in and run various professional development programs and international exchange projects. His major interests are English language teaching, educational technologies, integration of technology in language classrooms, and developing professional development projects. He has been working as a lecturer at Karabuk University’s School of Foreign Languages after several years of teaching English at TED College at all levels and working as a Lecturer at Karadeniz Technical University.

Zeliha Kuruducu, received her B.A degree from Ege University, English Language and Literature Deparment. She completed her M.A degree and is doing her PHD in the English Language and Literature Department, too. She is an instructor at Karabük University.

Zeynep Gözde Güven Lüleci, who has been working as lecturer in Karabuk University SFL since 2012 is preparing her PhD dissertation in International Relations department.
