Administrative Staff Meeting of the School of Foreign Languages, Karabük University
On September 26, 2025, an administrative staff meeting was held at the School of Foreign Languages, Karabük University, under the chairmanship of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa POLAT, Director of the School. The meeting was attended by the Vice Directors of the School, Lect. Dr. Kürşat ARSLAN and Lect. Hüseyin ATASEVEN, Deputy Heads of Department Lect. Şakir AŞÇI and Lect. Okan DEDE, School Secretary Abdullah ÖZEL, together with all administrative staff. The main purpose of the meeting was to ensure the smooth execution of administrative processes for the 2025-2026 Academic Year, to evaluate current practices, and to develop solutions to the challenges encountered.

In his opening speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa POLAT shared a general evaluation of the new academic year, expressing his gratitude to all administrative staff for their diligent, systematic, and uninterrupted efforts thus far, and emphasizing the importance of discipline and a strong sense of responsibility for the effective functioning of the institution. Throughout the meeting, issues such as compliance with working hours, careful planning of administrative leave during the academic period, maintaining cleanliness with precision and continuity, reporting and addressing deficiencies identified within the school building, and taking necessary steps to improve the quality of services provided to students and academic staff were discussed in detail.

In addition, matters aimed at strengthening environmental awareness and social responsibility within the School were evaluated. These included raising awareness about recycling, implementing measures to reduce smoking around the school environment, and taking precautions regarding areas around the building that are prohibited from being used as parking lots. In this context, it was decided to prepare an informative video and to share it with all staff so that it could also be communicated to students. Moreover, suggestions were collected to enhance staff motivation and support their adaptation to duties more effectively, leading to the decision to hold regular consultation meetings on the first Friday of each month at 11:00 a.m.
All agenda items were thoroughly deliberated, and the decisions taken were unanimously approved. The meeting concluded with the good wishes and closing remarks of the Director of the School, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa POLAT.
