Karabük University School of Foreign Languages held its Academic General Assembly Meeting for the Spring Term of 2024-2025 Academic Year on May 30, 2025. The meeting was attended by School Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa POLAT, Vice Director Dr. Lecturer Kürşat ARSLAN, Vice Head of Foreign Language Preparatory Department Dr. Lecturer Okan DEDE and Vice Head of Foreign Language Preparatory Department Lecturer Şakir AŞÇI, and all academic staff attended.
The meeting started with an informative presentation about SOSYALFEST 2025 by Assistant Professor Durdane YILMAZ GÜVEN started with an informative presentation. In the presentation, the academic and social contributions of the event were emphasized by calling for participation in SOSYALFEST initiated by our Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Kırışık within the framework of Türkiye's Century Vision. Then, the 4th period evaluations of the 2024-2025 academic year were discussed. In these evaluations, the midterm and final exam averages of Level 3 and Level 4 students and the achievements of the highest scoring students were shared.
Within the scope of the Summer School information, it was stated that 224 students will participate in the program to be held between 23 June - 12 August 2025. In the meeting, the suggestions and requests of the academic staff were listened to and plans for the next semester were discussed.
In his speech, School Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa POLAT stated that academic staff should take a more active role in the incentive processes regarding academic publication performance.
The meeting ended with the feedback of the academic staff. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa POLAT emphasized the importance of the contributions of academic staff regarding both SOSYALFEST 2025 and academic publication and incentive processes and thanked all participants.
