Support for Academic Publishing from Karabük University: Translation and Editing Service Launched
Karabük University has launched a new service to support the preparation of academic studies in accordance with international standards. The "Translation and Editing Service", offered in collaboration with the School of Foreign Languages and the Graduate School, aims to enhance the linguistic and structural quality of academic texts in English for both graduate students and academic staff.
Within the scope of this service, academic texts such as theses, articles, and conference papers will be translated into English or revised in terms of academic style, coherence, and grammar. In doing so, members of Karabük University will be better equipped to participate more effectively in national and international academic publication processes.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa POLAT, Director of the School of Foreign Languages, emphasized the significance of this initiative in strengthening academic communication and stated:
“It is not sufficient to merely translate academic texts at the word level. The academic context, field-specific terminology, and scientific discourse must be conveyed in a coherent and accurate manner. This service will contribute to making our university members’ work more visible and comprehensible within the global academic community.”
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zeynep ÖZCAN, Director of the Graduate School, highlighted the scope and added value of the service, stating:
“The ability to present academic output on international platforms in a qualified manner is not only dependent on the scientific content, but also on linguistic and structural accuracy. The fact that both our students and academic staff can benefit from this service provides comprehensive support to academic writing processes. This approach directly contributes to institutional academic quality.”
With this new service, Karabük University aims to enhance the quality of academic output, increase the number of scientific publications, and strengthen its presence in the international academic arena.
