International Women's Day Celebrated at Our School of Foreign Languages

Karabük University School of Foreign Languages celebrated International Women's Day on March 8 with the participation of the school's administration, academic staff, and administrative personnel.
The event took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, attended by the Director of the School of Foreign Languages, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa POLAT, Vice Directors Lect. Dr. Kürşat ARSLAN and Lect. Hüseyin ATASEVEN, as well as Assistant Heads of Department Lect. Dr. Okan DEDE and Lect. Şakir AŞÇI, along with academic and administrative staff members.
During the celebration, carnations were distributed to female academic and administrative personnel by the school administration as a symbolic gesture of appreciation. Warm conversations and sincere interactions among the staff and administrators enriched the event.

In his speech, Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa POLAT emphasized the significant contributions of women both in higher education and in society, sharing the following message:
“We sincerely congratulate all the esteemed women, especially our valued female academics who greatly contribute to our higher education system with extensive representation, and all the women who enrich and add value to our lives. Happy International Women’s Day! We are grateful to have you in our lives.”
Throughout the event, academic and administrative staff shared their sentiments about the importance of the day, expressing their appreciation for such gatherings, which foster unity, solidarity, and strong internal communication.
Concluding with a group photo session, the celebration not only boosted morale among the staff but also strengthened collegial bonds and the spirit of unity within the institution.
