High-Level Attendance in "English in a Changing World Forum"

“English in a Changing World Forum” organized by the British Council at Ankara HiltonSA on September 30-October 1, 2024, brought together prestigious national and international participants to discuss the place and importance of English language education in a changing world. The presence of ÖSYM President Prof. Dr. Bayram Ali Ersoy, high-level representatives of the Ministry of National Education, national language education accreditation bodies such as DEDAK (Language Education and Assessment Accreditation Board) and international language education accreditation bodies such as EAQUALS (European Association for Quality Language Services) at the forum once again demonstrated the importance of the event as a platform for language education in Turkey.



Karabük University School of Foreign Languages was represented at the highest level in this prestigious event. School Director Assist. Prof. Dr. Mustafa POLAT, Vice Director Dr. Lecturer Kürşat ARSLAN, and Vice Director Lecturer Hüseyin ATASEVEN took part in the forum on behalf of Karabük University and took an important step towards the goal of closely following the developments in language education and bringing the education and training activities of the school to national and international standards.

During
the forum, global innovations in language education, developments in accreditation processes and professional development opportunities were discussed.
Within the framework of these discussions, the high-level directors of Karabük University School of Foreign Languages gained important insights in strengthening the academic identity of their institution, further improving the quality of education and providing language education at international standards to their students.




School Director Assist. Prof. Dr. Mustafa POLAT made a statement to the academic staff after the forum and said, “Such events are a great opportunity to further advance both the academic vision and identity of our institution.
