2024-2025 Academic Year Started with Academic General Assembly Meeting

Karabük University School of Foreign Languages organized a comprehensive general assembly meeting with the participation of the academic staff with the start of the 2024-2025 Academic Year. With the chairing of the School Director Assist. Prof. Dr. Mustafa POLAT, Vice Director Dr. Lecturer Kürşat ARSLAN, Vice Director Lecturer Hüseyin ATASEVEN, Vice Head of Foreign Language Preparatory Department Lecturer Şakir AŞÇI and all academic staff took part in the meeting.



The main purpose of the meeting was to plan the 2024-2025 Academic Year, evaluate the education and training processes and improve the overall performance of the School. In his opening speech, the School Director Assist. Prof. Dr. Mustafa POLAT evaluated the achievements and studies carried out in the previous academic year in detail and shared the goals set for the next year. He also gave information about the challenges faced and the strategies implemented to overcome these challenges.




In his presentation for the academic staff, the Vice Director Dr. Lecturer Kürşat ARSLAN gave information about the general functioning and academic structure of the school and offered suggestions for managing these processes more effectively. Lecturer. The Vice Director Lecturer Hüseyin ATASEVEN focused on the problems encountered in the education and training processes, the development of measurement and evaluation criteria and the improvement efforts to increase the success of students.

The Vice Head of Foreign Language Preparatory Department Lecturer Şakir AŞÇI made suggestions on integrating the educational materials used more efficiently and the effective use of these materials by the academic staff. He also shared important information on the measures to be taken to guide students more effectively.

The training programs and support activities required for the professional development of academic staff, increasing motivation and making work processes more efficient were also discussed in the meeting. In this context, the professional development needs of academic staff were identified and the activities to be carried out during the new academic year were detailed.

At the closing of the meeting, School Director Assist. Prof. Dr. Mustafa POLAT thanked the academic staff for their devoted work and stated that such meetings are of great importance in terms of improving the academic quality and educational processes of the school. Polat emphasized that the contributions and feedback of the academic staff make important contributions to the development of the school and stated that such meetings will continue.
