An Academic General Assembly Meeting was held at the KBÜ School of Foreign Languages
The 2023-2024 Spring Semester Academic General Assembly Meeting organized by the Karabük University School of Foreign Languages was held with the participation of Karabük University Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Kırışık.

Karabük University's School of Foreign Languages hosted the 2023-2024 Academic Year Spring Semester General Assembly Meeting, attended by Karabük University Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Kırışık, the Director of the School of Foreign Languages Dr. Mustafa Polat, and the academic staff.

Speaking at the Academic General Assembly Meeting, Karabük University Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Kırışık emphasized the importance of evaluating the performance of the university's units throughout the academic year. He stated, "We will assess the annual performance of each unit. Is there progress or regression? How much improvement has been achieved? How does it compare to the university average and Turkish standards? We value this. How do we want to conclude this? We aspire to be the best university in the world, not just in Turkey. Without such a goal, our development and progress will be limited."

In his speech, Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Kırışık highlighted significant changes at Karabük University over the past 10 months. Emphasizing the importance of academic incentives, Rector Kırışık said, "Academic incentive points are now a crucial criterion for promotions and appointments. Projects and project development are extremely important criteria for us. We receive numerous applications for the same position, and we evaluate these applications based on academic incentive points and project scores. Please give importance and attention to academic incentive points, project development, and scientific research. Strive to conduct innovative, society-problem-solving research. Identify the leading journals in the world in your field, examine the type of publications they produce, consider their level as the baseline, and work to exceed it."

Providing information about the university's corporate identity efforts and the new anthem prepared for the university, Rector Kırışık stated, "We have a new corporate identity project. Under this project, all logos, names, and usages will be unified under a single corporate identity. Just like a professional global company conducts its corporate identity work, we will establish the corporate identity of our university in a similar manner. We are creating a structure where all units are gathered under the same heading and corporate identity, rather than having different identities for different units. For example, the School of Foreign Languages is a unit under Karabük University and will represent this corporate identity. No separate corporate identity will emerge. Our university did not have an anthem before. We have prepared an anthem called the 'Karabük University Anthem.' We are planning to perform this anthem in a rap style. We aim to create an environment where our students can enjoy themselves at graduation ceremonies and various events under the Karabük University brand. You know, we are creating songs, logos, and other corporate identity elements like mission and vision statements for our various activities. We plan to develop this in a similar way."

The Academic General Assembly Meeting concluded with the presentation of achievement certificates to the academic staff of the School of Foreign Languages who published work during the 2023-2024 academic year.
